The Law of Training states that your capability, capacity and performance increases by maintaining, upgrading and updating skills beyond your present state.

Training is essential to winning in Life. When you spend your time and energy training yourself, it delivers great reward. It improves your capability, capacity and performance. Skills are strengthened, developed and empowered through constant training. This means being skillful is not enough. It must be sharpened, maintained, upgraded, and updated by training. The celebrated athletes don’t play down on training. They do it consistently, purposefully, strategically and with commitment.

Training increases ability and sustain it.

Training increases performance. But the lack of it decreases. You can never perform beyond the level you have trained yourself. Through training, you gain the ability to be your best in whatever you do.

The bottom line is: Training enables you to win. When you engage in spiritual, mental and physical training, you remain a winner at all times. Not a loser.

Training is different from exercise because it has specific goals and focus for the improvement of one’s capacity, capability and performance.  Pastor Enoch Adeboye once said, “It is not what you expect that you will get, but it is what you inspect.”  Expectation alone cannot make you get your desires; you must inspect to get your desires. In other words, training makes you an inspector of your own personal development to win in Life.

What you train yourself to do more makes you its master. With time you become a master of whatever you train yourself to do.

Training sets you on the platform for higher performance. It stretches you to do more than the ordinary…takes you higher beyond your present state of effectiveness. It takes you to another level of doing extra in all you do.

If you desire to be a winner in life you cannot do without training.

Remember the law of training states that your capability, capacity and performance increase by maintaining, upgrading and updating skills beyond your present state. The level you are now can be upgraded. Your organization can be more productive.

Your life can get a raise.

You can perform better than your present state if you realize the need for training. Don’t be satisfied with the level you are now. Be committed to training. Focus on your development. You will never regret it.

So, I like you to think now. What are those areas you really need to be committed to training? Write them down and start working on them immediately. You are destined to win.

“Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Spend your time and energy in training yourself for spiritual fitness…Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next.” – 1Timothy 4:7-8
