Dedication: Key to Leadership Success

Nathan W. Morris once said, “The speed of your success is limited only by your dedication and what you’re willing to sacrifice” I believe that addresses leaders who want to succeed.

Leadership starts with a vision, sustained by character but succeeds through dedication. You cannot lack dedication and succeed as a leader. It is the hallmark  of successful leaders.

It takes dedication to make any dream you have a reality. It takes dedication to maintain character consistency towards leadership success. If you are not a dedicated leader, it is easy to drift from your vision and character when you confront hard issues of life.

Dedication determines level of your commitment to the people and the assignment God has given you.

Dedication sustains your devotion to God and to your work.

Dedication enables you to do your work with single-mindedness, wholeheartedness and allegiance.

Dedication forces your adherence to principles that sustains a leader when others who live a care -free life have packed up.

Dedication makes you remain loyal to God because you will have no free time to attend things that will divide your heart.

Dedication reveals your enthusiasm, zeal and self-sacrifice that attracts success like a magnet.

The price of dedication is high but so are the rewards. You can’t be a dedicated leader and be a failed leader. It may not look as if your dedication is making any difference at the beginning. Never mind! Dedication pays off than you can imagine.

If you are just starting out as a leader – you are just starting an organization, a cause, an initiative, a ministry, family, business or whatever. Don’t despise your little beginning. Be dedicated now. And as your dreams are unfolding, be dedicated still.

Dedication can achieve great things even when money is lacking. Don’t wait for money. Don’t wait for good weather. Be dedicated in season and out of season. Do it when it is convenient and when it is not. You will win.

Dedication to work will make you stand out. There are no short – cuts to any place worth going, you must be dedicated to the journey. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Don’t back off. Be dedicated.

Irvin Stone says, “Talent is cheap; dedication is expensive. It will cost you your life.” You must be dedicated to a point that you are not afraid to die for the sake of the Gospel. God is looking for dedicated leaders who are ready to go all out for Him.
