Learning to Obey Like Jesus

Life respond to right keys. Right steps and right buttons.

I want to discuss with you about Learning to obey like Christ.

Unreserved obedience is a demand of a successful Christian Life.

It is the unfailing Master key to our elevation experience in Christ.

The height we attain in Christ is going to be determined by our unreserved commitment to obeying Christ by faith.

As we are trusting God for elevation this year, the perfect key to our elevation is unreserved obedience to Christ.

The only Perfect Person we can learn obedience from is Jesus.

Let’s look at what the Bible says concerning obedience about Christ in Hebrews 5:7 – 9.

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.

One of the keys that made Jesus to be elevated is obedience and if we must be elevated, we must learn the key from Him.

Obedience can be learned and whatever that can be learned can be taught

One major reason among many others why lots of prayers from believers are not answered is because obedience is missing in most people’s walk with Christ.

Prayer is empowered by obedience to faith.

We must know that there is no significant experience a believer can have in Christ without a life that is committed to obedience.

Prayer without obedience is an effort in futility.

Obedience is our faith in action.

Obedience is always to higher authority and it takes the higher authority to take you higher.

Obedience also means submission to higher authority that rules over us.

Jesus shows us that elevation cannot be separated from obedience.

We need to pray that we will have perfect obedience in the fear of God.

Please, know that prayer is never a substitute for obedience.

If you want to escape life of struggling this year, you must learn obedience.

If you are going to have an approved walk with God in life, ministry and other aspects, obedience is key!

There is no elevation without obedience and there is no obedience without a price.

Whatsoever we are trusting God for will only come by unreserved obedience.

Saul was elevated by God but he was demoted and crashed through disobedience (1Sam 15:22)..

One sober lesson from the life of Saul is the understanding that no matter how a man has risen in God, he will crash without a commitment to life of obedience.

The greatest sacrifice that God honours is obedience.

Every other sacrifice that God will ever honour comes by sacrifice of obedience.

Every plans and purpose of God for us is wrapped in obedience.

If you want notable recognition and blessing in God, obedience is inevitable.

We may think that we cannot be perfect like God, but every time you obey God you are made perfect.

It is obedience that makes our lives perfect before God.

Obedience to Christ is our holiness to God.

Obedience perfects our walk with God because every time you obey God, the Holy Spirit makes us perfect in Him.

Many of us see perfection as a mirage but when you obey God, you are made perfect in Him.

Obedience to Christ by faith is our approval in God unto perfection.

Christ finding your work perfect as a believer is about a life of faith through obedience.

When you obey Christ, you are approved by God (Hebrews 5:9).

God could approve Job and he was made perfect by his obedience of faith.

God boasted about Abraham because of his obedience by faith.

God wants to boast about you.

When you learn to obey like Christ, paying the price of submission to His will; you will be highly exalted in Him.

God cannot prove Himself in our lives until He has approved Himself of our lives.

How to Live a Life of Unreserved Obedience

1. Have the mindset of Christ

Until you have the mind of obedience, you will be struggling with obedience.
The mind of obedience is the mind of Jesus.

To obey God does not come by struggling but by having the mind of Christ.
You cannot relate with Jesus without the mind of obedience.

2. Obedience comes by humility.

The proud cannot obey.

God hates disobedience because every time we disobey God, we are claiming equality with Him.

This year, elevation will come as long as Jesus is the Master over your life.

Humility is about the life of a Lord and a servant.

 Humility and obedience are inseparable.

The secret of Jesus’ elevation is obedience to the point of death.

The secret of the elevation of Jesus is found in Philippians 2:8.

While the elevation speaks in verse 9, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name…”

Obedience is personal but the reward is not personal, disobedience is also personal but the consequence is not personal, (Romans 5:19).

Don’t make other people suffer because of your disobedience.

I choose to be a blessing and not a curse. Through my life, my family will not suffer in Jesus name.

May the grace for obedience be released upon us in Jesus name.

May you find it easy to obey Christ.

May you enjoy the elevation that obedience brings in Jesus name.
