destinylifters quote 1

An artist was attracted by a beggar who sat across the road he usually passed. Thinking of how beautifully God made everyone -the artist went straight to his workshop, sat down and began to paint the beggar as he imagined him to POTENTIALLY BECOME.

The following day, he called the beggar and showed him the painting. The beggar looked at it, then he said, “Is that me?” The artist replied, “That’s the you I see in you!”

“If that’s the man you see in me,” the beggar stated with excitement, “then that’s the man I shall be!”

I’ll like to share here three ways we can embrace our potential.

1)  Get the True Picture of What You Are

You are God’s MASTERPIECE. God puts so much effort in making you to be what He wants you to be. You can’t AFFORD to be ANYTHING LESS. We are so precious to God that He would not mind to give up everything just to get back our souls.

Understanding true picture of what you are helps to make you committed to being the best in what you do and how you live your life.

It helps us to GO AFTER GOD’S BEST for our lives.

2) Who Painted Your Picture?

I remember an encounter I had with my elder brother during my high school days which changed my life. It was a story of potential discovery and presentation.

During this period, I was not aware that God endowed me with precious gifts and grace. I was ignorant of my true picture until my brother called me and said, “God is expecting great things from my life, He has put so much in me that I cannot afford to waste my potential.” He said, “I’m  capable of becoming more than what I can ever imagined.”

Those words touched my heart and made me to start seeing myself differently. This happened because my brother PAINTED MY PICTURE.

So, who painted the picture you are seeing about your life? What type of picture are you seeing about yourself and your future? Of course, the best painter is the word of God. If you are not comfortable with the picture you are seeing about yourself, get into the word of God. You can always get your true picture in it through the help of the Holy Spirit.

3) Accept Personal Responsibility

Determine to embrace your potential. Accept personal responsibility to REACH YOUR POTENTIAL. Don’t be a victim of What You Can Be. Just trust God to be ALL THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE. Do everything POSSIBLE. Do away with anything that can limit you from becoming what God says you are.

“Ineffective people live day after day with unused potential.”

-Stephen R. Covey

Take charge of your destiny. Allow the Holy Spirit to make out of you the BEST YOU. Have a sense of purpose like that beggar who said, “That’s the man I shall be.”

Be the man or the woman you are meant to be. Embrace your potential. And just like Israelmore Ayivor remarks, “You can dance in the storm. Don’t wait for the rain to be over because it might take too long. You can do it now. wherever you are, right now, you can start, right now, this very moment.”
