“Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.” – Marilyn Vos Savant…

You must have heard this statement different times that when life gives you lemon; make a lemonade out of it. In a nut shell, always learn to turn your disadvantage to an advantage. Joshua J. Marine says, “Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”

The success story of champions in life is majorly a story of failure turned to success. What makes many of us get so thrilled when people recounts their success stories is the fact that they are able to get back on their feet after series of setbacks.

Champions are people who turn their setbacks to comebacks. The Lion-hearted preacher, T.D Jakes once said, “A setback is a setup for a comeback.”

When successful people fail, they never submit to failure. And that’s why I always tell those who feel bad about failures that they should maximize the moments. We are not to mourn our failures and disadvantages in life. We are to learn from them, seek for solutions and come back stronger.

“The outcome of life is what we make out of what life has thrown into our court.”

The truth is, whether you are a leader, an entrepreneur, a career person, a disadvantaged fellow – all of us will have to experience a season of dissatisfaction, challenges and face problems that may likely pull us to the ground. But we must never give up. We must get back on our feet.

I don’t know what you are passing through at the moment. May be you have experienced certain loss in your life, business or relationship lately. You need to get back on your feet. You need to be strong again.

Although the battle we face in life is more challenging than what we can handle on our own. But we can engage the weapons already made available for us in Christ (Ephesians 6:10-18). When we confront life’s problems with God’s weapons, our victory is guaranteed.

Les Brown says, “When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.”

But I will like to reframe the last word in the statement of Les Brown. I would say let your FAITH get you back up. You know each time we look up, Faith in God will help us than Reason in Cosmic.

Besides, there’s always a temptation to face issues of life in our strength. Most times, we feel our experience, knowledge, intelligence and connections will help in putting us back on our feet. It has never worked like that and will never work. We must completely acquaint ourselves with God’s method and weapon of fighting in the battle of life. This is only when we can get back on our feet.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the enormous challenges that surround you?

Are you feeling as if you are burning out or getting bored with life?

Do you think you should be living beyond how you are managing now?

Do you perform below your potential?

Are you surrounded with hatred and different form of critics?

Are you feeling weak spiritually, that you cannot even pray?

Have you lost your joy because you messed your life up in one area or the other?

Do you feel cheated, abandoned, molested and betrayed?

Whatever the situation is – the only option you have is to get back on your feet. Seek the strength of The Lord. He’s more than willing to help us if we run to Him, hold unto Him and rely on Him. But remember to keep off from those things that are pulling you down. Marvin Sapp once said, “God didn’t give you the strength to get back on your feet so that you can run back to the same things that knocked you down.”

When God gives you strength to get back on your feet, get restored and refreshed – The only Person to run to is God Himself. Those who want to remain victorious in life must run to God and remain with Him.

“Your faith will be put to the test. You know that when that happens it will produce in you the strength to continue.” – James 1:3 (NIRV)
