One of  the best ways to  overcome discouragement whenever it comes is by starving it to death.

You can kill discouragement by simply refusing to let it feed on things that energizes it in your life. It has been said that starvation is a severe deficiency in caloric energy intake, below the level needed to maintain an organism’s life.

Personally, I have discovered that certain weaknesses many of us struggle with, continues in our lives because we have not stopped feeding them. It’s your Responsibility to bring your weakness to the cross.

Feeding Your Weakness Empowers it to Rule Over You

Don’t feed your temptation. Disconnect with a deliberate firmness from those things that facilitate your discouragement and weakness.

Get away from words that kills faith in you. Don’t be apologetic about disconnecting from certain people in your life.

Take a purposeful step to stop nourishing what comes back to sap your spiritual, physical, emotional and mental energy.

It is your responsibility and must not be left to chance.

Get yourself plugged into faith-based atmosphere, hang around people of faith and position your heart under faith-lifting words that will empower your courage always.

The truth is, learn to feed what you want to empower in your life and starve what you want to kill.  Starve your discouragement and you will overcome it.

Trust the Holy Spirit to give you the discipline of commitment to keep starving your discouragement until it dies (Romans 8:13).

Pray that God will help you to recognize things that feeds your discouragement and grant you the ability to start disconnecting from them!

“Feeding Your Weakness Empowers it to Rule Over You”

“…Weep not; behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof” (Revelation 5:5)
